Gel purification of DNA is a common technique for the isolation of specific fragments from reaction mixtures. While most methods either fail to completely remove agarose, this product uses proprietary technology to recover DNA fragments between 70 bp and 20 kb with efficiencies exceeding 85%. The relevant DNA band is cut from the gel and then purified by combining it with magnetic bead technology.
